At first glance Salt appears as a pauper. He wears no armor or jewelry, clothing himself in simple robes most of the time and eschewing all but the simplest armaments. Dust from the road typically clings to his bare feet and robes. He makes everything that he needs and what he cannot make is provided by the god that he worships. He is tall and thin and his skin is weathered and brown, his hermit's beard now trimmed and shaved. Deep wrinkles crease his face from the eyes, which are slate grey like his close-cut hair. It is difficult to estimate his age, but most humans would say he had lived a hard fifty years at least.
