Seek out the undead and put them to rest, so they can rejoin the Great Cycle. Do not harm or kill others except in the most dire of circumstances. Do not refuse to aid those who need it.
_Clergy Favored Weapon and Clothing_: In general, clerics of Aeridin prefer to wear white robes. They’ll only don armor when absolutely necessary, and even then with great hesitation. However, if they do, they’ll wear full plate, either coated with a layer of silver or – more rarely – made from mithril. Their armor is usually embossed with golden leaves. In general, they wield quarterstaffs and shun the use of maiming weapons like axes or greatswords. A necklace with a golden leaf is often worn around the neck as a holy symbol. _Clergy and Temples_: Temples to Aeridin can be found everywhere, from the largest city to the smallest village. Most also act as a house of healing for the wounded and the sick and as a place where the poor or unfortunate can find help to get their lives back on track. Spread far across all continents of Layonara, the Church of Aeridin stands in good regard with most peoples. Despite the Church's throng of followers, there is not a strong central hierarchy that dictates how the Church operates. There is a hierarchy at the local level, which is mostly based on seniority, not on the actual power a cleric is capable of wielding. All temple communities remain very much in contact. Clerics of Aeridin pray for their spells either at noon or during a full moon. Religious days are many and tied in to the positions of the sun and the moons. Nights where one of the moons is full hold special importance; however, nights where both [[/The Night Sky#Moons|Orn]] and [[/The Night Sky#Moons|Ausir]] are full are of prime importance. [[@Constellation| ]] _Constellation_: The [[Triennial Sphere]] or [[Life Calendar]] consists of twelve stars that align in a semi-spherical pattern. Each star alternates to different colors, from silver, to yellow, white, gold, and even to a pale blue. The clerics of Aeridin follow this constellation as it rotates throughout the year. As the moons Orn and Ausir hold great importance to the [[Aeridinites]] so does their constellation. The Triennial Sphere holds very special importance on nights when both Orn and Ausir are full. One of the two moons will make their way into the middle of the constellation on nights like this. It is unknown to any but those most powerful clerics of Aeridin what this means, however one of the moons fades into the horizon as the night goes on, yet the moon that fills Aeridins constellation is held still in the sky. This however is only recorded to happen once every three years, hence the name, Triennial Sphere. Many outsiders know that the shrines dedicated to Aeridin are also used as lunar calendars for tracking the mortal and celestial years, however it is also believed by the [[Aragenites]] to be used in tracking their beloved constellation as well. _Aliases_: * [[The Protector]] * [[Preserver of Life]] * [[The Lifegiver]] _Race_: [[Elf]] _Alignment_: [[Neutral Good]] _Worshippers_: Predominantly [[Elves]] _Cleric Alignments_: * Neutral Good * [[Lawful Good]] * [[Chaotic Good]] * [[True Neutral]] _Domains_: * [[/Clerical Domains#Healing|Healing]] * [[/Clerical Domains#Sun|Sun]] * [[/Clerical Domains#Good|Good]] Clerics of Aeridin combine the healing domain with one of the other domains. _Governs_: * Weather * Dawn * Rebirth * Vitality * Youth * Sun * Moons _Allies and Enemies_: * _Allied_: ** [[Ilsare]] ** [[Katia]] ** [[Kithairien]] ** [[Shindaleria]] ** [[Beryl]] ** [[Folian S'pae]] ** [[Grannoch]] * _Friendly_: ** [[Goran]] ** [[Deliar]] ** [[Toran]] ** [[Mist]] ** [[Az'atta]] ** [[Prunilla]] * _Neutral_: ** [[Dorand]] ** [[Aragen]] ** [[Xeen]] ** [[Rofirein]] ** [[Lucinda]] * _Unfriendly_: ** [[Vorax]] ** [[Sulterio]] * _Enemy_: ** [[Pyrtechon]] ** [[Shadon]] ** [[Branderback]] ** [[Corath]] ** [[Baraeon Ca'Duz]] ** [[Vierdri'ira]] ** [[Grand]] |
