Anyndur started life as the middle son of a minor noble. Childhood was typical (for a drow), although Anyndur was always a little confused. He didn't seem to take the same enjoyment in the ritualized violence and torture of Drow culture as his peers and family did. This left him feeling like an outsider most of the time, left out of the only pleasures he was aware of, although he had to act as if he reveled in it. Eventually he found excuses or just was not to be found for these activities. At an early age he discovered he was good, better than most of his stealthy kind even, at moving quietly, one with the shadows. This self imposed, but still luxurious loneliness continued for many years until Anyndur was an adolescent. Drastic change came when his father was caught in treason against a more powerful Noble family. His father was killed for his treachery, and his entire family was scattered to the winds, exiled forever. With no particular skills, Anyndur was forced to live by his wits, day to day and moment to moment, taking whatever job (legal or not) was available. Pickpocketing came easy, his mother had always noticed his nimble fingers......He fell in with the wrong people from time to time, and did a lot of things he is not proud of, although he usually blames these on his Drow heritage and early indoctrination into a culture of cruelty and hate. Now as a young adult, he believes strongly the the cosmic balance, and goes to great lengths to maintain this. In general Anyndur tries to do the right thing, but at times has trouble hearing his conscience. Forced to live as an exile from his own people, and generally despised by surface folk, Anyndur continues his lonely trek through life to a destiny that will bring understanding, if not acceptance.
