- You can now request your password be sent to your email address when you're logged out and can't remember your password. The form to do so has been added to the Login page. (If you're already logged in you won't be able to get to the form.)

- You now have the option of hiding the connection between your site account and your characters if you had entered in your Public CD Key. You will still see your full character sheet, however the Server Status page and your character sheet(s) will not link the bioware name to your account nor will your site profile page show the listing of bioware accounts and character information related to your Public CD Keys.
- You can now mark other site profiles as "friends" of yours. This allows them to see more detail about your character(s). Your friends can see your character(s) General Stats, Feats & Skills as well as your tradeskills (if you have any crafting skills as by default the crafting skills tab is hidden unless there's something to show). You can also see a list of the user profiles you've marked as friends your Friends Index page. To mark someone as friendly or unfriendly, simply visit their profile and you'll see a button giving you one option or the other appropriately. This is only of any practical use if you've set your Public CD Key user preference.
- Fixed a bug where the "Go" and "Skip" buttons at the bottom of every page wouldn't forward you to the right page, they'd just dump the pages themselves. This causes people to sometimes use the proper url and other times use some mucked up url depending on how they got to the desired page. Basically, one of the design principals of this site is that we hide the "cgi-bin" stuff from the end-users as much as possible. If you want detailed reasoning for this design mandate, ask OneST8 on IRC/ICQ when he's got the time.
- Also fixed a bug in the bookmarking system where if you change your site preferences (in any way even if unrelated), you'd loose all your bookmarks.

- Created a Profile Index for browsing all the registered site users.
- User Admins now get a "manage user" button when viewing site profiles.
- The character sheet pages now show the ip address (from the in-game player tracking system) and their public cd key. All useful tidbits for dealing with the rabble.
- Character sheets now get the same footer as the rest of the site and that footer is shown on every tab of the character sheet.

- Fixed a bug with the search button, if you didn't put anything in the search box it would give an internal server error. This has been remedied and a full search page has been started (not yet functional though).
- Changed some bits with the authentication system, cookies should only be set once now as opposed to being set on every page view. The cookie only indicates your account session ID which never really expires and is not any sort of indicator of whether or not you're logged in. It simply says "hey I'm me!" to the site so if you login from different ip addresses you may have to login again but each login should have a completely separate account session ID and they all should play nicely with eachother.

- Implemented an optional built-in bookmarking system for LORE. This is a supplemental sort of thing so that your browser's bookmarks don't get abused. In your user preferences, check the box "Use Bookmarks" and in the footer of every page there will be a button to Bookmark (or UnBookmark) the page you're on and if you have bookmarks set you'll also see a dropdown of your bookmarks and a button to "skip" to the page currently selected in the dropdown. There is also an additional option in your user prefs that indicates if you want your bookmark list sorted alphabetically or just left in the order you made the bookmarks in.

- Fixed some bugs with the server status page and the player's bioware name, all related to when the player is possessing another creature. In the case of DMs it will now say "Is possessing" and for players it says "In another form" instead of their bioware name being blank. In all other cases, the bioware name is either a link to a site user profile (if they set their Public CD Key and is indicated by an asterisk (*) after the name) or a link to a search in LORE for that bioware name.
- Fixed a bug with the search results page not escaping the URLs properly. Pages/characters with double-quotes in their title/name would have their link truncated at the first double-quote.

- Multiple Public CD Keys are now supported. Simply put them into your preference as a comma separated list and the system will use them accordingly.
- Updated the Public CD Key page with some background info about public Keys and how Layonara (and LORE) use them.

- Implemented user pages! Whether or not your account has permission to edit pages you are able to edit your personal page. The footer (which will be redesigned in the near future by orth) has had some link changes to indicate this. Your profile link, which was indicated by your username, is now labeled Profile and the link that is your username now is a direct link to your personal page. Feel free to use it as a bookmark list, scratchpad, or whatnot. Just a note about marking your page "hidden", all that means is that anonymous visitors won't be able to see it but registered users will. This is a community after all but should these pages be required to be fully private, that can be arranged.

- You may now enter your Public CD Key into your user preferences. The Server Status page will link your bioware name to your site profile page and on your site profile page you should see a list of your bioware and character names. There are some issues with the way Layonara is using (or not using) the Public CD Key and these situations will have to be remedied on a case by case basis. It seems that many people use different bioware accounts with the same CDKeys and vice versa which pollutes the player tracking table with invalid or irellivant information. The player tracking table needs some serious love. Please tell orth or myself of any invalid public cd key related information so that we may repair them.

- Created a Character Updates plugin that lists the recently updated characters in the Character Index. This of course uses the user's preference for list size based on the "Recent Changes" setting.

- orth and myself can now force the site into a sort of "Out of service" mode where all access is blocked completely (no one is logged out however, just the site is unaccessible). This is so that when we go to do something potentially drastic we can prevent user-catastropies easily rather than asking on IRC "please don't do anything for a minute or two".
- Updated the character index so that when you view someone's description it'll automatically turn the first occurance of a reference to an existing (and visible) page into a link. Take a look at Plenarius Ashaley for a great example of this.

- Previously you could get to a (site) user's profile just by going straight to their user name. I've turned this feature off because it was overriding my attempts to make a wiki page of my user name so that when I'm logged in as a DM, my linked character name could have it's own "DM Profile" so to speak. We can't link to your DM's bic file as those are not stored on the live servervault. You can still get to people's site profile by going to /Profile/UserName... for instance /Profile/OneST8.

- orth updated the database structure and provided some very interesting search query mechanisms. I've taken his examples and implemented them, orth still needs to go through and enhance it further. Overall though you can already expect the search results to be far more useful.

- Made "rename" perform copy and delete the old name.
- You're prevented from renaming or deleting pages that are being linked to by other pages. (Go edit the linking pages to correct the page links and then rename the old one.)

- There is no possible way for the Visitor account to login.
- CHARACTER NAMES ARE NOW PROPERLY ESCAPED!!! This means that you can have the funny "ae" character amongst other such things in your character's name and it'll "just work" when it comes to linking and displaying.
- The page history cache is now properly pruned and groomed (no more messed up links and other such bizarrness).

- Changed the browser title from "Layonara: blah" to be "LORE: blah"
- The authentication cookie now expires in a year rather than when you close the browser window.
- Added in a stupid bit of HTML to trick internet explorer to properly submit the search form when you press enter after typing some text to search for. (ie: you didn't click the "Search" button itself but just hit enter in the text field.)

- Created Server Status, GMs see everything and PCs see what they're supposed to see. And no, I didn't mess the DB up again with a 3.7 trillion mistake. And yes the page looks horrid, orth with make it pretty when he get's to that.
- Updated the default player portraits from the uber "no image" image to the stock "nobody" portrait. (You may have to restart your browser to get the new image.)

- Refined the user interface to not include buttons and things that they don't have permission to use. These buttons that were showing did not mean that the user could perform that action, they were just being displayed. Ie: if someone clicked "Delete" who couldn't perform that action, would have arrived at an error page with no action being performed and the event being logged.
- Err, forgot to mention that I added tooltips to all the user preference page for each item.
- Added two new wiki permissions Rename and Reserve. The functionality was previously managed under the wiki edit permission.

- Changed the "Linking Pages" list (at the bottom of every page) to be comma delimited instead of pipe delimited.
- Created Races Of Layonara and populated it with all the information found on the forums regarding all of the races and subraces.

- Purged the database of all initial bic entries as they were crufty, starting clean.
- All stats are now stored at snapshot time (no more current stats while viewing older versions, mind you the viewing older version feature wasn't ready yet either so no one noticed this bug).
- You may now view any previous revision of a Character by selecting the version from the bottom right dropdown and clicking the "Display" button.
- Minor page formatting tweakage.
- At the bottom of the player pages you can now view a printable version of the character page by clicking the "Printable" link. The "Source" link next to the "Printable" one will show you all the contents of the bic file used to generate some of the data you see on the character page.
