deliar.pngTrade is the best road to enlightenment and enrichment. Use trade to bring prosperity to everyone in the world. Seek out and develop new markets and new opportunities. Hone your skills as a tradesman.

Clergy Favored Weapon and Clothing:
Deliar’s worshippers favor a short sword, mainly because of its portability and variety of uses. They have also been known to embellish their swords with precious metals and pommel gems to show their wealth and, consequently, Deliar’s favor.

Clerics of Deliar tend to wear chain mail, adorning it with pricey metals like gold, silver, or mithril. The higher the rank of the cleric, the rarer the metal and the more favored and wealthy they are.

Clergy and Temples:
Despite Deliar being a god worshiped by merchants and shopkeepers of all races, the real clergy mostly consists of halflings. Deliar’s halfling followers tend to live in small clans, with the elder being the leader, though normally there is little need for any type of leadership because halflings seem to naturally work together.

Temples are normally tents, for the lives of Deliar’s servants are rarely sedentary. Protection for the temples is also easier this way, as they are not in set locations. However, most larger, more prosperous cities have huge, exquisitely decorated temples to Deliar.

Clerics can be found praying multiple times of the day. They pray for luck before a trade, believing that it brings wealth and harmony to the family.

Constellation:
Deliar’s constellation, Traveler's Luck holds the shape of a four leaf clover. This nine starred constellation is constantly sparkling different colors, from red, to blue, to gold, to silver.

Deliar’s clerics usually direct their prayers towards his constellation during night journeys, praying for luck that they don’t step in any pot holes, or get mauled by a Worg.

Prayers to Deliar often revolve around trade and travel:

Father Deliar, bless this journey with good fortune and protect us from harm.

Layonara NwN Hint: If someone's wearing different clothing that hides their appearance, you probably won't be able to recognize them. Your character can't see the floaty text above their head.
