Follow the Way of the Hammer. Create the new for the greater glory of Dorand. If you do not craft, you are not serving His purpose. Serve as tool and instrument of Dorand and strive to perfect your craft. Never fall into inaction. Support those that seek new knowledge or create new inventions.Clergy Favored Weapon and Clothing: Nearly all clerics of Dorand wield some version of a hammer or axe, since these are the tools used in both their craft and their worship and thus are the most important things that a Hammer of Dorand possess. They tend towards browns and greys, the colors of earth and stone.Clergy and Temples: Nearly all clerics of Dorand are known as Hammers, the reason being that his clerics consider themselves his tools, and the greatest instrument of creation for Dorand is the Hammer. Within the church hierarchy there are different ranks, from Acolyte of the Hammer (lowest) to the High Hammer, the most exalted cleric of Dorand on Layonara.Creation is Dorand's primary concern. It is true, however, that many people confuse clerics of Dorand with clerics of Deliar since many of his priests fund themselves though the selling of their creations. Dorand’s clerics, as they rise through the ranks and study the Way of the Hammer ever more, sell their wares less often, crafting instead to perfect their art. Often these items are given to Dorand as offerings. Most temples of Dorand are natural things, usually dug into a mountain or hill, though there are exceptions where a master builder wanted to plan, design, and build a temple of unusual size, beauty, or décor.Clerics of Dorand pray for spells when they can. They can often be found catching a quick nap in the forge while waiting for the coal to heat up, for it is during the art of creation that they are most directly worshipping Dorand. Many use time at the forge (or other craft) as a time of quiet meditation, relaxing their mind and communicating with Dorand on a spiritual level, while allowing him to guide their bodies to create. Constellation: Called The Creator's Hammer, Dorand’s constellation holds just that shape. One of the largest and most detailed constellations, The Creator's Hammer is made up of twenty seven main stars, and seventeen dimmer stars that act like finer details on a well-crafted hammer.Though most of Dorand’s clerics prefer to craft during the day, it’s not unusual to see a dwarf wait until night has fallen to start or finish his work beneath Dorand’s constellation. Most of Dorand’s clerics and followers, proud as they are, do not like to pray to the constellation, but prefer to do it at the forge or during the crafting of an item. However they do acknowledge the constellation, and occasionally pay homage to both god and constellation at the same time.Like many constellations The Creator's Hammer does not move in the sky. But occasionally stars can be seen falling out of it or winking into existence.Aliases:

Domains:
Dorand's clerics can choose any two of the above domains; it is well known, however, that nearly all clerics of Dorand embrace the Strength domain, which represents the strength and endurance needed for long hours at the forge. While this is not universal, it comes naturally with the process of becoming a Hammer of Dorand. Mostly, those who practice the crafts not involving mining and smithing are the clerics that do not practice the Strength domain.Governs:
