Gnomes are extremely intelligent and also much sought after as inventors and engineers of the highest order. They prefer to remain with their own kin, although they are also at home with Dwarves (whom they are distantly related to).They are renowned for both their technical expertise and their prankish nature, though their pranks and jokes can make them hard to get along with. Gnomes are even smaller than Dwarves, with the average gnome standing at about 3 feet in height. However, they have a light frame and small muscles, giving them an average weight of 45 pounds.Like many other races, Gnomes have a great longevity with an average life expectancy of 340 years, though some live much longer. They share the Dwarven pride in facial hair, though gnomes prefer to have a trimmed beard compared to the long bushy ones of the dwarves. The gnomes relate well with the Dwarven and Halfling races and the three get on well together.The gnomes' varied skills make them capable adventurers and their curiosity usually leads them on adventures to learn more about the world.
