Yani Swift was born in the year 1256 and was a student of magic in Saida, Voltrex. While pursuing his magic studies, Yani Swift spent his free time learning the law of Layonara. Well versed in the laws of Layonara, and naturally curious, Yani Swift seeks justice and enlightenment. He blends truth with mercy to fight the good fight and right the wrongs that have soiled the fair Layonara. His ideology is simple. Power for power's sake corrupts. But, one with a righteous cause can repair the world and restore balance wherever evil may be. The lesser races have always caused us apprehension. But, with a few exceptions, they have become a productive part of Layonara. Fortunately, the lesser races have not sought to become a part of Voltrex. Because of Layonara‘s diverse citizenry, it has learned and grown. While Layonara can point to a checkered past regarding equal treatment of our citizens, Yani Swift has come to recognize the righteous should be treated without distinction. Progress such at this, demonstrates Yani Swift's ability to see all civilized creatures as individuals. Yani Swift follows the mandates of his god, Areidin, which require him to rebuild the world and bring civilization to the lawless. Law and civilization are synonymous. Civilization is not a symbol of weakness, but one of strength. In a civilized society, barbarism is not met with barbarism; cruelty is not met with cruelty; and hate is not met with hate. At least for those who are deserving of mercy. The barbaric, the cruel, and those with a wicked heart are treated with mercy. But, mercy is not for those who are evil. Yani Swift understands mercy for the righteous to require the destruction of evil. These axioms will lead the Yani Swift to moral superiority over those who walk the path of evil. Civilization brings the promise of a better future. Yani Swift knows most creatures walking Layonara would be unable to remember how to don their jerkin if they did not practice on a daily basis. Yani Swift has always known that he was better than others; that he was chosen to bring law to the lawless; that he is the judge of evil, the voice of Areidin. Yani Swift has always known his path would lead him into the midst of danger. Yani Swift seems to have an almost innate knowledge of magic. So, he honed his ability to defend himself. His diminutive size would lead one to believe he would be of no consequence, but Yani Swift's ability to remember and learn spells gives him power that belies his stature. .
